Congratulations to the CPB Blazing Spyros dragonboat team for another successful season. We placed 2nd in the R Division at Centre Island and placed 2nd (losing to first by 0.6 seconds) in the Silver Winners Division in Waterloo. We even performed our fastest time ever in the Waterloo race!
Although our performance was phoenominal at our races, dragonboat wasn't only about a good ranking. Dragonboat was about enjoying the sport of water racing, meeting new friends and relaxing in the great outdoors. The weather was perfect with clear blue skies with a cool breeze. It was not too hot, but warm enough to dry our wet clothes after each race.
Dragonboat really tested our commitment by having to wake up every Sunday morning at 6 am to go to a practice or a race. Thanks to all the poor drivers and parents who had to tolerate wake up calls at 5:30 am.
I hope to see you all again next year!
