Andre J. Mak
Andre J. Mak is an exceptional volunteer, organizer and fundraiser dedicated to a wide range of charitable organizations and causes, all for the benefit of the community. From his tireless efforts in leading CPB in Mississauga, to his generous support of the Chinese community both here and abroad, to his lifetime contributions to those in need, Andre epitomizes the heart and soul of community service.
Andre's determined dedication to community causes is legendary, and he has been awarded many accolades by all levels of government and the community, including:
- Mississauga Civic Award of Recognition in 2000
- Ontario Medal of Good Citizenship (O.M.C.) in 2001
- Chinese Canadian Legend Award in 2002
- Queen's Golden Jubilee Commemorative Medal in 2002
- Mississauga's Citizen of 2003 and the Gordon S. Shipp Memorial Award in 2003.
In order to concentrate on his business, Andre has now stepped down as the Chair of CPB - a position he has held since CPB's inception in 1998 - but will remain as a Director of the CPB Foundation.
CPB's Board of Directors would like you to join us in recognizing and celebrating the tremendous contribution that Andre has made to the community.
