2007 CPB Badminton Open

The 6th Annual CPB Badminton Open was held this year at Humber College. Building upon last year’s success and positive feedback, two singles events were added to this year’s tournament so that players could enjoy them as well as the regular mixed and men and ladies doubles events. As well, an exhibition was added which showcased the outstanding skill of some of the best badminton players here in Canada. Approximately 180 badminton players came out to participate in the two-day event, making it the largest tournament hosted by the CPB to date. Special thanks to Black Knight for being the tournament’s Platinum sponsor as well as Badminton Birds (Gold), MJ Strings (Silver), We Love Tennis (Silver), and Wilson Trophy (Silver) for their generous support. As well, my sincerest gratitude to all of the volunteers for their exceptional commitment in giving their time and effort to one of the most anticipated sports events in our community.
